Government and council procurement asks harder questions than most private tenders: accessibility conformance, hosting sovereignty, incident response, and data handling.
WCAG 2.2 AA is the baseline. That means keyboard operability, visible focus, colour-contrast compliance, semantic structure and accessible forms — tested, not assumed.
Security posture should map to the Essential Eight: patching, MFA, backups, application control and logging.
Documentation is the differentiator. A conformance statement, an accessibility roadmap and a support SLA turn a good build into a compliant one.
